Lingnan Culture, Cantonese Food & Kung Fu Experience
10:00｜Foshan Old Town Citywalk Start with a relaxed citywalk in Foshan's old town – slower than Shenzhen, more traditional than Guangzhou, and steeped in craftsmanship and martial arts. Across Clock Tower Square into Shangxian Lane, where soaring wok‑ear gables frame old Lingnan. Pass Wenhuili Wedding House (Qing rituals), Jian Villa (East‑West fusion), Longtang Poetry Society (now a bookshop), and historic shops like Li Zhongsheng Herbal. Snap the "Foshan" 3D wall, then end at East Gate's carp‑lantern corridor.This loop reveals intricate brick carvings,Lingnan architectural style, and old stories weddings, poetry, commerce – all without backtracking
12:00｜Cantonese Lunch Experience For lunch, we will enjoy a Cantonese / Foshan-style meal. Foshan is part of the Pearl River Delta food culture, and it is especially known for delicate flavors, fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. Depending on the group’s preference, lunch can focus on classic Cantonese dishes, Shunde-style cuisine, dim sum, roasted meats, claypot dishes, or seasonal local specialties.
14:00｜Ancestral Temple & Lion Dance Performance In the afternoon, we will visit Foshan Ancestral Temple, one of the most iconic cultural landmarks in the city. Here, visitors can learn about Lingnan architecture, local beliefs, Cantonese opera culture, and Foshan’s martial arts heritage.
One of the highlights is the traditional lion dance and martial arts performance. Foshan is one of the most important birthplaces of Southern Chinese lion dance culture, and watching the performance inside the Ancestral Temple area is a very memorable way to experience the spirit of the city.
15:30｜Wing Chun Culture & Kung Fu Experience After the lion dance performance, we continue with a Wing Chun and Ip Man-themed experience at the Ip Man Hall in Foshan, the renowned hometown of martial arts. The hall preserves Master Ip's training gear, manuscripts. Visitors can try wooden dummy and Chi Sao (sticking hands) training. You'll learn about Ip Man, Wing Chun, and their connection to Bruce Lee. Turn legend into your own kung fu journey.
16:30｜Local Dessert & Food Walk End the day with a relaxed local dessert and snack experience. Foshan is also famous for traditional Cantonese desserts, such as double-skin milk, ginger milk pudding, herbal jelly, sesame soup, and other local sweets. It is a perfect soft ending after the cultural and kung fu experience.
