The history of Kuixinglou
The history of Kuixinglou can be traced back to the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty. It was originally a building beside the Confucian Temple, where ancient scholars worshiped Kuixing, the god of literature, hoping for success in imperial examinations. The image of Kuixing implies "taking the first place", symbolizing academic achievements.
Although the original building no longer exists, the current Kuixing Tower, after reconstruction, still retains the essence of traditional culture. Now, Kuixing Tower is actually a hospital, and what visitors think of as a "plaza" is in fact the hospital's rooftop.
