It was my second day in Chongqing after having an amazing city tour experience on day one. For day two, I decided to book a walking tour to explore local neighborhoods and non touristy areas. I’m so glad I did. My guide for the second day, Sophie, was fantastic. She was friendly, easy to talk to, and shared so many interesting stories along the way. What impressed me most was how well she knew the city. She seemed to know every street and hidden corner by heart. When she told me she was born and raised in Chongqing, it made perfect sense. You could truly feel that local connection in the way she explained everything. She took me to several small local food spots where only locals go, and every meal was absolutely delicious. It felt authentic and far from the usual tourist experience. A walking tour is such an underrated and amazing way to explore Chongqing. You notice so many details you would otherwise miss. Thank you to 240hoursinchina for another great experience. I hope to see you all again on my next visit to China.

Lovely host with adorable personality, she showed me great hidden spots away from the mass of tourists. Her historic knowledge of the city makes things very interesting to listen, I enjoyed the fact I learned about how the Chongqing was built to grow into a "cyber city" I had a wonderful time with her, would 100% recommend 🩷

La giornata di oggi e’ stata incredibile. Sophie ci ha fatto scoprire mille angoli nascosti e segreti. Con pochissimi turisti, abbiamo fatto delle foto magnifiche. Abbiamo riso, scoperto e ci siamo emozionati. Ci ha qnche suggerito un super corner per vedere lo spettacolo dei droni, mentre centinaia di persone si accalcavano al gelo per vederlo, noi eravamo seduti comodi ( e soli ) al caldo ad ammirarli!
