Wilderness Garden & Ren’ai Hall

In 1902, French missionaries established a church and a hospital here. The church still stands, while only the ruins of the hospital remain. However, the ruins have been redeveloped into a park and exhibition area for people to relax.

Shancheng · Time – In Library

It can be traced back to a church – run primary school founded by the French. Now it has been transformed into a library but still retains the typical features of a primary school in the 1980s.

Cliff Plank Road

Backed by the mountain and facing the Yangtze River, this cliff plank road offers a typical Shancheng (mountain city) plank – road experience. You can enjoy the magnificent view of the Yangtze River and feel the unique charm of the mountain city. The lanterns hung along the road are especially beautiful at night.

Shancheng Lane

It preserves the traditional style of the mountain city and integrates many artistic and modern elements. There are numerous characteristic shops, teahouses, and cafes in Shancheng Lane, making it a great place to experience the local life in Chongqing.

Best Time to Visit: Mornings and evenings in summer, afternoons in winter, to avoid the heat and the cold.
